Since then, it has established itself as one of the country’s most recognized cooperatives, exporting certified organic and fair-trade coffees to international markets. Today, Asobagri brings together hundreds of families from 87 communities in Hueguetenango and Quiché, many of which are led by women and young people. Their plots, located at altitudes ranging from 1,150 to 1,650 meters, thrive in fertile clay-loam soils and under diverse shade.
